FINDING ARTICLES

VCDH has a subscription to the EBSCO Dentistry and Oral Sciences database.  In addition, you can find articles by searching the databases listed below (most of which provide access to full-text articles either for free or free with registration). FINDING IMAGES

University of Iowa - Oral Databases and Galleries

• Oral Disease Picture Gallery - Images of Oral Diseases from the Hardin Library for the Health Sciences, University of Iowa
• Oral Histology Image Database - Oral histology images from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry.

 
Health Education Assets Library (HEAL) - Database of freely accessible, web-based multimedia teaching materials for educators and learners in the health sciences. HEAL employs a peer review process for inclusion of resources. Users may browse by subject or search for specific terms and results may be limited to animation, audio, image, video, web page formats.

Martindale's Virtual Dental Center - Portal leading to journals, Dental atlases, and images and videos relating to oral anatomy, general pathology and biomaterials.

EBSCO - The EBSCO interface provides access to images relating to dental health.  On the top toolbar, choose More. From the resulting drop-down menu, select Images. The Image Collections Search Screen appear where you can enter search terms of the image you want.  The Image Quick View Collection provides thumbnails of the images in an article right from the Result List, Citation View or the Folder.

Wellcome Collection - Find thousands of Creative Commons licensed images from historical library materials and museum objects to contemporary digital photographs.
